DataBank <\/span>has bought four <\/span>CyrusOne Data Centers <\/span><\/a>in the Houston area for $670 million.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The four datacenter facilities collectively have more than 300,000 square feet of raised floor, data-centre capacity, and 42.5 megawatts of power to DataBank\u2019s portfolio. This brings DataBank\u2019s portfolio to more than 65+ facilities and 2.0M square feet of raised-floor data centre capacity.<\/span><\/p>\n

DataBank<\/a> is known as a leading provider of enterprise-class collocation, connectivity, and managed services. This transaction makes Houston the 28th metro market in DataBanks\u2019 U.S Portfolio by expanding what is already the largest edge infrastructure footprint in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

The acquisition agreement terms, say, DataBank has acquired the data centre located at 4201 Southwest Freeway, formerly known as the Cyrus Galleria, as well as the Houston West Campus. These will be the primary metro\u2019s interconnection points that consist of over 30 fibre networks and 3,500 cross-connects and public cloud-on ramps from <\/span>AWS <\/span>and <\/span>Google<\/span>. The campus is situated only 20 minutes west of Downtown Houston and is already home to three data centres previously known as West I, West II, and West III.<\/span><\/p>\n
