Google Cloud<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>BT Group<\/span><\/a> announced that they are entering into a five-year strategic partnership to accelerate BT\u2019s company-wide digital transformation. This collaboration will include BT using a suite of Google Cloud products and services \u2013 like cloud infrastructure, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, security, and API management in order to deliver superior customer experience, reduce cost and risk, and also to build new revenue streams.<\/span><\/p>\n

BT is undertaking massive transformation in the field of the digital world, through its BT Digital unit, and this initiative includes the work of creating a group-wide data and AI fabric which will be part of its cloud-first and AI-first strategy. Under this partnership, both the companies will aim to help BT to unblock hundreds of new business use-cases to strengthen its ambitions related to digital offerings and create hyper-personalized customer engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n

BT\u2019s data transformation is aimed to deliver business results using AI and deep machine learning across the company to enable companies and customers to make more data-driven choices, and also be able to offer personalized customer solutions to develop new go-to-market propositions. This will provide BT to get real-time network analytics, which tends to improve customer service by allowing for predictive problem management and assurance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Harmeen Mehta, Chief Digital and Innovation Officer at BT said, \u201cBT\u2019s partnership with Google Cloud is one of the important series of strategic moves that prove BT Digital is ready to accelerate BT\u2019s growth and digital transformation. This partnership is deeper than the technology level, as it will help Digital as a whole to supercharge BT and drive its return to growth\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Utilizing Full Cloud Capabilities<\/b><\/h2>\n

Google\u2019s SRE team will collaborate with BT to bring out the continuous delivery and zero ops autonomous operations culture so that it will speed up the development and ongoing innovation as part of BT\u2019s new \u2018Digital Way\u2019 work culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thomas Kurian, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Google Cloud, said, \u201cWe are very happy and proud to collaborate with one of the world\u2019s leading communication services providers that plays a vital role in its digital transformation journey. Our goal in this partnership is to set up BT and provide it tools it needs for future growth and innovation by deploying our full cloud capabilities and support from our SRE organization\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Google and BT have already begun their collaboration on Google technology adoption, and have the goal to complete the core data move by 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n
