CommVault Released Metallic Data Management As-a-Service (DMaaS) in Japan

Business News News February 21st 2022

CommVault recently announced that its award-winning solution, Metallic Data Management As-a-Service (DMaaS) is now available in Japan. CommVault is an eminent leader in offering intelligent data services across on-premises, cloud, and Software as a service (SaaS) environments globally. With this, the industry’s gold standard in DMaaS is now available in 30 countries across the globe. The full suite of DMaaS is known to offer the highest flexibility for performance and scale and complete workload coverage worldwide.

Metallic, since its launch in October 2019, has been implemented by more than 1000 worldwide customers. The innovative solution offers seamless deployment, rapid recovery, managed data protection, archiving, and compliance measures for a wide range of workloads. This comprises Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, including Microsoft 365 and Salesforce, hybrid cloud and endpoints workloads from VMs to enterprise databases to unstructured data.

Using Metallic in the SaaS enables customers to simplify management, cut down TCO, and predict future costs easily.

What is Metallic?

Metallic is a Microsoft Azure PaaS and native services-based cloud-native solution.  It is supported by over 3,500 security professionals and 90 compliance certifications. It aims to provide a virtually air-gapped service to prevent unwarranted access, preserve and isolate data copies, and let users restore data quickly to drive business continuity and reduce threats. This is possible because of the multi-layered security, built-in zero-trust access controls, and advanced encryption.

What Has Metallic In Its Store For Customers?

With Metallic, it’s now easier for customers to install and manage the backup system. They no more need to build a new backup system, which was earlier required. Plus, now the backup can be initiated with just a few simple steps. Also, customers can now manage all workloads centrally from the same web-based console.

Since Metallic is a SaaS solution, it prevents customers from relying on on-premises infrastructure thereby saving them maintenance and administrative costs. Backups for Salesforce, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 provide unlimited storage and retention period, that too, at a base rate.

Also, CommVault’s 20 years old alliance with Microsoft makes it possible to offer enhanced services to customers.
