Zayo Announced Acquisition OF Education Networks Of America (ENA)

Zayo Group, a leading global provider of fiber-based communications solutions, announced that it has agreed to acquire Nashville-based Education Networks of America (ENA). ENA is a market leader that provides managed network connectivity and security services to E-Rate-funded schools districts, and other public sector customers. The previous investor ZMC, which is a leading private equity firm that is focused on technology, media, and communications investments, will now exit its position, as a part of this acquisition.

ENA and Zayo have come together to provide education, library, community healthcare, and public sector customers with high-quality managed services and outstanding customer care.

Andrés Irlando, the President at Zayo Group said, “ENA is a renowned name that makes it a leader in delivering comprehensive managed network and security solutions for educators, enhancing academic quality and productivity that is driven by digital transformation and cope up with the growing need for remote learning”. He further said, “We are focused on expanding the business by providing enhanced services to ENA customers and support the ENA team as it is responsible for driving growth and innovation together. Zayo now is aimed to expand its strong public sector capabilities and serves critical connectivity needs of the nation’s education system. ENA will provide the technology, geographic reach, and service delivery that we need to help our customers thrive”.


Managed Service Approach of Acquisition

David Pierce, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at ENA said, “we have joined Zayo so that ENA will combine their best high-touch managed services approach and innovative technology solutions with Zayo’s best-in-class fiber network already robust E-Rate practice. Together both of them will deliver tremendous value and the best of the industry-leading customer experience that will enable faster growth. He said we are very excited for this next chapter as part of Zayo.

Zayo’s communications infrastructure is going to offer Dark fiber, private data networks, wavelengths, Ethernet, dedicated Internet access, and data center connections solutions. Zayo owns and runs its own Tier 1 IP backbone. Zayo’s CloudLink solution can easily connect organizations to their public cloud environments with low-latency private connectivity.

Connection solution firm serves companies like Wireless and wireline carrier, media, technology, content, finance, healthcare, etc.
